Bronzer Swatches (Physician's Formula, Wet n Wild, & Urban Decay)

I decided to swatch the bronzers I have last night (since I've never done it). Being on the pale end of the spectrum makes shopping for bronzers a little harder because, at least for my particular skin tone, they tend to come up to dark and orange. I have just four in my collection; two are really only there because I wanted the blush and highlighter in the set (the Urban Decay ones), and the other two were more purposeful buys. The swatch below is as close as I could get to how they appear naturally, but everything is a tad pinker than my actual skin tone.

I also have the swatches under different lights:
Fluorescent light

Warm light

Mixed light

The two Urban Decay ones are a part two different Naked Flushed palettes (Nooner and Streak). Nooner (matte finish) is the darkest, really better for slightly darker tones than myself. Streak has the lightest bronzer of the collection, but it's still somewhat dark if you're very pale. This one also has some sheen to it. These have quite a bit of pigment, so a little goes a long way. The Wet n Wild bronzer (Bikini Party) seems like it would be too dark and orange, but when I put it on my face, it blends surprisingly well. Maybe it's because it has less pigment than the others? This one has a ton of fall out, but it is also a bigger pan than the others, and it's way less expensive. The Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer (Light Bronze) is the lightest of the three, and also the most cool-toned. I tried this one out most recently because I was looking for a lighter bronzer that wasn't Hoola Lite. For daily wear, this is the one I usually go for. I can put a fairly decent amount of it on, and I don't look ridiculous. It also helps that it smells pretty darn good! All of these bronzers are matte or satin, so none of them have that irritating glittery look.

Bottom line - I can wear all of these, but I have to be particularly careful about the amount that I put on if I'm using the Urban Decay bronzers.

About Me

Hey there! I'm just going to keep this post short and sweet for now. I'm just a mom and working woman with a serious makeup addiction! I'm not an expert by any means, but I just wanted to share my experiences (both the good and the bad), and hopefully help and learn along the way.

If you want me to test a product, just comment on a post, and I'll do my best to see if I can get my hands on it!
